Design icon by Wim Rietveld. Together with the 663 storage and the 1407 chairs this table was an instant design classic at the time. Made of steel rod frame, metal tray and glass top. This piece evokes the typical sober Dutch modernist atmosphere and would be a great addition to fifties Pastoe or Tomado furnishing, all exemplary for Dutch modernist design. The frame is very dark anthracite, inhome looking black. The 6mm glass top is original ( it has the two production hallmarks in the surface ) and free of chips. The metal tray is professionally refinished in great 'off white' satin color. All parts are inspected, cleaned, all is solid, no denting or flaking, all is complete, minor normal marks.
