The base is a hand-carved elephant carved from a single block of solid teak wood. The elephant is a symbol of luck, wisdom, and strength in many Eastern cultures. ​The elephant's back and the surface of the tabletop feature refined brass inlay work depicting floral motifs (often lotus flowers). ​The top has a slightly concave shape reminiscent of offering tables or Eastern ceremonial chairs.
