The ‘T105 Series’ coffee table was designed by Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm in 1968. Manufactured by Kill International in Germany, this monumental table features a brushed steel base composed of three interlocking sections. Its round top, crafted from solid white flint-rolled marble, has a natural, matte finish. Kastholm, originally trained as a smith in Roskilde, Denmark, shifted to furniture design under the guidance of Danish design luminary Finn Juhl at the School for Interior Design in Copenhagen. It was there he met Preben Fabricius, a cabinetmaker with a shared vision for restraint and clarity. The two established a studio in Gentofte, where they pursued an aesthetic of pared-down essentials, drawn to the enduring designs of Eames and Mies van der Rohe. "The simplest lasts longest," Kastholm reflected, aiming for the timeless. After their debut at the 1965 Fredericia fair, German manufacturer Alfred Kill recognized their distinctive approach, sparking a partnership that would bring their work to the global stage at the 1966 Cologne Fair.
