Tripod Wooden Coffee Table In The Manner Of Carl Aubock, Austria

Chairish

$2,523

This tripod coffee table from Austria, dating to the 1950s/1960s, combines natural materials with a simple modernist design. Made in the manner of Carl Auböck, Vienna, the piece highlights the beauty of solid wood through its organic shape and preserved live edge. The top is cut from a thick section of wood, most likely solid European Elm, showing natural grain patterns, warm tones, and darker raw edges that give the table its strong character. The table stands on three slim Brass legs with a dark finish, slightly angled to create a light and balanced appearance. The contrast between the raw wooden top and the refined metal base gives the piece a sculptural quality without feeling heavy. Its compact size makes it versatile as a coffee table, side table, or accent piece in both modern and more layered interiors. The combination of organic form and clean construction reflects the understated style often seen in Austrian design from the mid-century period. Condition The surface of the table shows signs of age and use consistent with its character and age. The darker raw edges along the sides remain in good condition and preserve the natural appearance of the wood. The solid tubular brass tripod legs have developed a darker patina over time and remain in good condition, with the structure being solid and stable throughout. We have consciously chosen to photograph all of our items in their current state to present the real original condition as completely as possible for transparency towards our clients.
