Fantastic mid-century spider legged coffee table following the design styles of Gio Ponti, as much as Giuseppe Scapinelli. Most likely made in Germany, here with a heavy Porto Rosé marble top. This marble stems from Portugal. The wooden base of the coffee table and legs are finished in a light teak or mahogany colour (image 2 and the main image show it best), the wood itself is most likely some other, slightly lighter European wood. The colour of the marble comes in a pink with yellow hues and grey veins. Well loved: re-polishing recommended. Chalk note at inner rim ''Porto Rose'', on the marble base printed ''5172''.
