An exceptional late 20th century French Louis XVI inspired serpentine console table / sideboard by Maitland Smith. Made from iron with a porous stone top. The robust table is supported by four tapered legs, covered in acanthus leaves with twisted iron design leading to paw feet. The legs are connected by a trestle base with rope twist design and central finial. The upper frieze is pierced scrolling foliate and Lion head mounts.
