19th Century Marble Top Giltwood Console Table

A fabulous 19th Century marble top giltwood console table, finely hand carved and of exceptional quality. The stunning moulded and shaped Carrara White marble top of shaped rectangular form with concave sides is raised over a shaped and ornately carved moulded, fluted and panelled frieze embellished with a central plaque with a beautiful arrangement of foliate and acanthus leaf motifs, flanked with panels of foliate detail. Supported on elegantly tapering square, ring turned and fluted legs, conjoined with decorative concave stretcher, terminating on stylised block and arrow foot.
