Carved and gilded wooden console table. The tripartite band beneath the top features floral carvings and masks, supported by four curved legs richly carved with leafy and floral motifs, resting on a molded base carved with acanthus leaves and a ribbon. The central column is turned and carved with lion heads and draperies. Feral feet. The gray marble top has been replaced. Lombardy, last quarter of the 19th century. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
