The technique involves drilling a dense array of closely spaced holes with core drill bits, creating a honeycomb structure within the marble block. The remaining thin marble webs between the holes are then partially removed by striking them with a hammer—a violent yet precise act of subtraction.Bufalini continues its journey in marble, integrating its creations in the residential and commercial sectors with its research in the world of design.
