A stunning white Carrara marble console table from the Eros series designed by Angelo Mangiarotti, featuring a large elliptical top mounted on two conical bases. This elegantly organic console table displays beautiful, delicate veining. Given Mangiarotti’s research into jointless furniture, this console table was an example of a gravity-lock design in which the tabletop, thanks to its own weight, fits securely into the truncated conical legs. The word ‘Eros’ refers to the male-female interlocking of this jointless solution. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
