A French 19th century mahogany console in the Empire style with marble top. The gray, Saint Anne-type marble is in wonderful antique condition, with finished edges along the front and sides, including a slight bevel. The apron houses a hidden drawer, providing out-of-sight but convenient storage for an entry console or drop area. The top is supported by two columns with carved wood bases and capitals rising from block feet. A lower shelf functions to brace the console structurally and offers another surface for display or storage, partially enclosed by a wood back panel. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for your interior. Please view the detailed images.
