Having acquired a spectacular mature burr Oak board from a local timber merchant, I felt it was only fitting to make the piece a fluid table top without losing any of its natural characteristics. I decided to create steam formed Ash legs that attached to the Oak top adding a complementary sculptural element without too much distraction from the beauty of the Oak. This piece is designed to be a narrow console table that clutches to the wall for maximum stability as an example in a hallway or corridor setting.
