Italian 19th Century Louis Xv St. Giltwood And Faux Painted Marble Consoles

An impressive and most decorative pair of Italian 19th century Louis XV st. Giltwood and faux painted marble consoles. Each stunning wall-mounted console is raised on two 'S' scrolled legs and supported by foliate decorated hoof feet. Both legs curve inwards and meet amidst foliate decorations before extending upwards to meet the uniquely shaped front apron. The finely carved front apron consists of an arbalest shaped central reserve that is flanked by scaled patterns above each leg. Atop the stepped Giltwood apron is the demi lune shaped faux marble top with veins of darker shades. All original gilt throughout.
