An Italian carved wood console table, with its original marble top, from the early 20th century. This antique table from Italy has a rectangular-shaped marble top with projected squared corners, atop an apron carved with playfully scrolling acanthus leaves on three sides, outlined within petite beaded, and flower heads carved into the corners, just above each leg. The table is presented upon four rounded and tapering legs, with thickly-carved fluting, and terminate into toupie style feet. The original marble top is primarily a soft blush/peach with grey and white veining, which perfectly compliments the table beneath. Please note, there has been a professional repair to the top. This 20th century Italian console table has a hand-painted finish with sage green, bronze and hints of red.
