An Italian hand-painted console table, with its original inlaid marble top. This vintage table from Italy has an inlaid marble top, with a rectangular-shaped center in a merlot with white veining, outlined in a thin green banding, and perimeter thickly banded in gold. The rectangular-paneled apron, with reed carved accents at each corner, is adorned in a hand-painted foliate motif about three sides. The table is presented upon four nicely-carved and tapering legs, with upper 2/3 continuing the hand-painted foliate motif in a more vertical and petite fashion. The primary colors of the table are varying shades of red, gold and a muted marigold color. Note that the table is carved on all sides, however the backside does not have the hand-painted floral design as the other sides. This Italian inlaid marble top table has an approximate length of 3.75 feet in width, and would function well as a console or sofa table.
