An Italian-style wooden trestle-leg table, with forged-iron stretcher, by high-end American furniture maker Michael Taylor. This vintage table, influenced by Italian design, and sometimes referred to as a "Fratino" style table, has a rectangular-shaped top, raised upon a pair of shapely-carved, and inwardly-canted trestle-styled legs. The underside of the table is braced by a pair of hand-forged iron stretchers, with disc-shaped accents, intersect and cross, creating a nice visual interest. The wood retains its original finish. This handsome Michael Taylor table, approximately 5 feet in width, would be equally functional as a console or desk.
