The two sweeping maple curves define this composition. They burst from leg to leg with the energy of two gestural brush strokes in an abstract expressionist painting. The glass top allows for maximum visual access as the viewer strolls around the piece. The maple legs are dynamic in their relationship to those curves. They start the movement with their enlivened transition to the floor. The connections were challenging in terms of joinery as you can see in some of the process pictures. Such is the challenge of sculptural compositions in wood!
