Unusually small in scale this neoclassical pier table, ca. 1820, was intended to be used on the wall between windows. The overhang top is above a central drawer with an ormolu mount of a bare breasted Greek goddess clipping cupid's wings with a scissors. (Help me. Would this be Psyche or Venus?). The rosette pulls are original. Each classic column is ringed with a highly detailed ornament. Behind the shelf is a mirror.
