Superb and rare 17th-century Spanish Renaissance-era walnut console table. This table features a beautiful lyre-shaped base, typical of 17th-century Catalan tables. It can serve as a desk or a large console table, crafted on both sides. Therefore, it can be placed in the center of a room if needed. It is relatively shallow for a Spanish table (60cm), making it suitable as a console table, which is unusual. They are often deeper. It has three drawers in the apron. The drawers feature beautiful molding work. The locks are original. It has a very fine walnut top, 4cm thick, which is uncommon, and is made from a single piece of walnut. It has wrought iron stretchers, typical of Catalan tables. Beautiful patina and superb condition.
