Spanish Rococo Style Console Table - "Margaux"

Created for The Rothschild Collection - "Margaux" 2002 © In the Spanish rococo style, manufactured out of American Hard Maple, in a hand-rubbed and antiqued ochre finish with bronzed walnut and antiqued white highlights, the serpentine-shaped rectangular top above a shaped frieze carved with strapwork scrolls, the front with deep scrolled shield-form apron carved with further scrolls and centering a scrolled cartouche, on scroll-headed deep cabriole legs joined by a waved x-form stretcher with central shaped panel, on splayed scrolled feet. I created this piece so that the top can be taken off and granite/marble can be installed. It was important to make the decorative apron to hide the plumbing trap. Nothing worse than looking at pipes! Enjoy. You will see it paired with the Magnificence Ornate Mirror.
