It has a really solid wood frame with springs in the seat and backrest, and is extremely comfortable. It has a tufted leather design in an oxblood finish, and has solid brass nailhead trims on the bottom of the front frame as well as the arms and sides. The legs are solid in a dark walnut finish, and have the classic rounded bun design. The leather has been cleaned and conditioned, and does show patina. It has two previous sewn patches that blend in well with the tufting and stitching. This sofa is such a classic that it blends in well with both older designs and contemporary.
