This is an authentic Hickory Chair Company leather Chesterfield sofa, originally custom-ordered through a Memphis designer showroom. Hickory Chair is one of America’s most respected high-end upholstery makers, known for heirloom-quality construction, premium leathers, and traditional craftsmanship. The sofa features classic Chesterfield proportions with deep hand-pulled button tufting, rolled arms, and nailhead trim, all upholstered in Brocchure full-grain aniline leather. The leather has a rich natural patina and is soft, supple, and structurally sound. The frame is solid hardwood and the sofa is heavy, sturdy, and extremely well built. This piece dates to the late 1990s–early 2000s, an era when Hickory Chair produced especially robust, traditionally built leather seating. It has been well cared for and remains in very good vintage condition. There is some light cosmetic wear on the wood base consistent with age, shown in photos, but nothing that affects the integrity or beauty of the piece.
