Designed by Cini Boeri for Arflex in 1968, the Strips sofa is one of the most celebrated pieces in postwar Italian design — a Compasso d'Oro laureate and part of the permanent collections at MoMA and the Triennale di Milano. This is a current-production example in excellent condition, upholstered in Arflex's Swing 36 light grey velvet (T4 grade), a tone that reads both warm and architectural depending on the light. The Strips' signature quilted silhouette comes from its construction: shaped polyurethane padding with differentiated density, wrapped in polyester fiber, finished in a fully removable cover. The legs are anodized aluminum tubing with black nylon floor slides. Elegant from every angle — clean and low-profile from the front, richly textured from above. At 190cm / 74.8" wide, it seats two very comfortably — or one very happily.... The sofa is unmarked
