Ds-800 Biscuit Sofa From De Sede, 1970s, Set Of 3

Chairish

$8,542

A rare and emblematic model of Swiss design from the 1970s, this DS-800 sofa by De Sede is nicknamed the "Biscuit" because of the generous and soft shape of its cushions, which evoke layered biscuits. Very few examples are circulating today in this original and refined configuration, very distinct from the more massive contemporary version. The sofa is made up of three fixed elements: a left seat, a central one, and a right one. Unlike other De Sede designs, it is not modular and the parts are designed to work together as one fluid, sculptural piece. Its rounded design is both bold and timeless. Clad in its original beige leather, it shows even wear and an authentic patina that speaks to its quality and age. The buffalo leather used by De Sede during this era is thick, supple, and designed to last, which gives this piece a unique charm. Ideal for lovers of 70s design, rare pieces and furniture with character. Dimensions: Total length: 225 cm Depth: 95 cm Height: 68 cm Seat height: 38 cm Estimated weight: ~75 kg This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
