The sofa is executed in a solid teak wooden frame, with iconic amrrests, which gaves the sofa its name' Knotted sofa ('De Knoop'). Dutch furniture company De Ster (Geldeland, the Netherlands) produced these models in the 1950s-1970s. new upholstery, executed in a high quality. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
