A French Louis XV style sofa from the early 20th century. This antique settee from France upholstered features a gently arched top rail at back, carved acanthus leaves decorated the skirt and legs, with a scalloped skirt with foliage and shell decor predominant at front center. Manchette style arms, with scrolled knuckles, make for a relaxing sit. The settee is raised on beautifully-carved cabriole legs that terminate into peg feet. This piece has been newly upholstered in a light neutral colored Belgian linen. The wood has been washed in a light neutral shade, with highlighted accents in a pale blue/silver.
