Gorgeous Italian made sofa from the 1950's. The Italian sofa has been upholstered in a fine capitonné damask fabric in shades of ivory. The soft and rounded seat is very comfortable for the guest, the back has a particular shape. The feet are cone-shaped gilded brass, and give that touch of elegance and refinement of detail. The fabric is original of the time and is really in excellent condition. The sofa is ideal for placement in sophisticated mid century design living rooms. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
