Dimensions: approx. 180 × 74 × 74 × 43 cm (width × depth × height × seat height) An exceptionally beautiful and extremely rare sofa from the 400 series, designed by Hartmut Lohmeyer for Wilkhahn, Germany, circa 1960. This elegant piece of furniture is among the finest designs of German Mid-Century Modern and impresses with its harmonious proportions, floating appearance, and sophisticated combination of materials. The frame is made of dark-stained African teak. The slightly inclined backrest features original rattan weaving, while the seat and back have been reupholstered in a high-quality, warm bouclé fabric from the Danish premium manufacturer Kvadrat/Sahco. The interplay of fine wood, delicate weaving, and textile surface lends the sofa exceptional depth and timeless elegance. Condition: Very good overall condition. Upholstery and cover are new. The original wickerwork is in beautiful condition with only a few expertly executed repairs. The wooden parts are sturdy and show only minimal signs of age, such as small scratches or nicks, which do not detract from its high-quality character. A rare and exceptionally elegant collector's item for sophisticated interiors. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
