Palace sofa i in dedar milano karakorum bouclé by paloma editions dimensions: d 170 x w 240 x h 85 cm. Materials: bouclé and hardwood. Generous 80 cm lounge seat. Wraparound arms form a private nook. The palace collection features a sculptural, fully upholstered frame built over a kiln-dried hardwood structure. Upholstered by hand in natural european textiles, the piece is finished with precise stitching. Designed for unhurried repose, the palace sofa i pairs an expansive lounge seat with overscaled arms that sweep in a continuous curve, creating a sheltered nook for reading, resting, and la dolce vita. With reference to the 1930s–40s danish modernist sofas, cues are seen in the seam placement and stitched panel details. This sensibility has been reinterpreted for contemporary desires. Isabella wilde is an australian designer and the founder of paloma editions. Her practice spans architectural furniture, objects, and lighting intended for both residential and commercial contexts. Paloma editions’ key tenets are elegance, balance, and rigorism combined with lightness, exquisite detailing, and a poetic touch. A decade spent immersed in the australian design industry and countless sourcing trips to remote workshops and suppliers, building trusted relationships, has sharpened her design vocabulary of measured geometry, contextual sensitivity, and materiality. For isabella, design is equal parts intellectual pursuit and lived experience—an ongoing dialogue between provenance, culture, and the natural world.
