In designing the Softlands Outdoor Sofa (2024) exclusively for DWR, Gabriel Tan began with the idea of creating “soft islands" that feel like private getaways. The sofa's rounded, sheltering teak frame with an airy, woven-rope back and soft seat and back cushions offer indulgent comfort, inviting form, and warm texture. The neutral cushions are upholstered in durable Sunbrella fabric, bringing a sophisticated aesthetic to any deck, patio or yard. In sizes to seat two or three, the low-lounging frame is crafted from solid teak that will develop a silvery patina over time.
