Afra & Tobia Scarpa, Soriana Sofas, Cassina, Italy, 1970s. Afra (1937-2011) & Tobia (1935-) Scarpa both studied at the Venice Institute of Architecture. Their pieces are exhibited in many museums worldwide, collections the MoMa in New York and the Musée du Louvre in Paris. the Soriana model is certainly one of their most iconic and representative creations, which in 1970 won the most prestigious Italian design award, the "Compasso D'Oro". The sofas comes from the waiting room of an important hotel designed by the architect Takahama. It has been cleaned and sanitized, we really like the type of fabric and the color and we decided to keep what we found. The price refers to a single sofa This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
