The outside of the frame is painted in a khaki green, complementing the striped upholstery of satin jacquard alternating in bands of green, red, and cream with subtle foliate and geometric patterns. Removable side panels like wings are precisely shaped to fit the arms, angled outward ever so slightly. A row of carvings around the apron hint at Louis XVI, confirmed by the fluted, tapered legs.
