Purchased in 2000 from Todd Hase’s original Wooster Street showroom in SoHo, this custom-upholstered sofa was part of a coordinated downtown loft ensemble alongside the Amelia chairs. The design features a curved fan back and tailored, rounded seat—hallmarks of Hase’s ability to blend refined geometry with relaxed elegance. Currently upholstered in the same camel-colored felt-like woven wool as the matching chairs, this sofa exudes warmth and subtle texture. It remains in very good vintage condition—better preserved than the chairs—with signs of wear (cat has clawed seat and arms). Structurally sound and visually striking, it’s comfortable and stylish as-is, but also ready for your own creative direction. Will need to be reupholstered, so plan for approximately 10 yards of fabric. A fine example of Todd Hase’s transitional sensibility—balancing Art Deco curves with contemporary scale—this piece has been lovingly maintained by a single owner in a smoke-free home. Original purchase receipts and fabric specifications available upon request. Pair of Amelia chairs covered in same fabric and originally purchased at same time are listed separately. Inquire about a special price if purchasing as a set with the matching Amelia chairs.
