Beautiful and early P.I. Langlos Fabrikker, Stranda sofa design. I believe Rosewood legs and detailing. Design in the style of Illum Wikkelso. Original early paper tag still attached on underside. Details the product number. Following is information regarding company history from a family member of the firm. I have included an early photo form the firm. The designer of this sofa was Oskar Langlo, the brother of P.I. Langlo and Ingvald Langlo. P.I. Langlo's funiture was a family firm, started at Stranda, Norway, by Peter Iverson (P.I.) Langlo as the leader and gründer, and his brothers in the leading staff of the firm. P.I. Langlo was the first and leading company of a thriving range of furniture producers at Sunnmøre (Norwegian west coast area). After P.I. died 1940, the firm was led by his younger brother Ingvald. The person leftmost on the picture is Ingvald, still leading the firm in 1972. It was acquired by Ekornes in 1979.
