Iconic Bocca sofa designed by Studio 65 for Gufram, one of the most recognizable and celebrated works of postmodern Italian design. Originally conceived in the early 1970s and inspired by Surrealist and Pop Art imagery, the Bocca sofa has become a defining statement piece of radical design, famously referencing the lips of Mae West and the visual language of Salvador Dalí. This example features the classic sculptural lips form upholstered in vibrant red fabric over molded foam, with a removable cover secured by a zipper. The bold, playful silhouette functions equally as seating and sculptural art, making it ideal for contemporary interiors, design-forward spaces, or collectors of iconic 20th-century furniture. It is being presented as-found, in good vintage condition with visible wear consistent with age and use, including some light deviation to tone. There is some wear and fraying around the zipper area and surface wear and some water marks to the upholstery, as shown in the photographs. The foam structure remains intact and the piece presents very well overall. Please review all images closely for condition details.
