A stunning example of Victorian Rococo Revival design, this hand-carved mahogany settee embodies the romantic elegance of the 19th century. The frame features exquisite floral and scroll carvings highlighted by a gracefully camelback silhouette and a center oval medallion backrest, characteristic of Rococo Revival craftsmanship. As seen in the photo, upholstery fabric is also in pristine condition with vibrant colors. Upholstered in a luxurious floral brocade fabric in tones of muted slate blue with delicate rose, gold, ivory, and sage green blossoms, this piece radiates timeless sophistication. No fading, rips, tears, or pilling. The piece showcases the artistry and refinement of its period, with curvaceous cabriole legs, intricate detailing, and a lustrous mahogany finish that enhances its timeless appeal. Please note, antique and/or vintage items will show the effects of age and use. Wear may be consistent with age and use. As can be seen in the pictures, upholstery and wood frame on this item is in excellent condition for if’s age. However, this does not mean there aren’t some slight imperfections as this has been around for a while. Additionally, measurements are best approximates. It was difficult to get exact measure of some parts due to curves and areas such as elevated seat center cushion (as seen in photos). I made my best attempt/approximate.
