This sofa offers clean lines and an unique flexible design gives a feeling of momentum towards a larger journey. The upholstery options are essential and contemporary, eclectic and give character. Voyage can be assembled andre-assembled with simple configurations adapting to any living scenario. This new model reinforces Saba’s ethos for interpreting the value of flexibility. From the slender backrests that allow upmost comfort with minimal volume to the multiple configurations they enable. Voyage can be configured into two sofas or one sofa in vis a vis positioning, or into a chaise lounge formation. It’s available in two variations – with methacrylate or chromefinished metal feet.Born in 1953 he left formal education and began, almost by chance, his experience in the field of the padded furniture. Fascinated by the world that surrounded him, he eagerly devoted himself to researching building forms and techniques which have borne fruit for the companies in which he worked. In 1991 he opened his studio as an independent designer and in 1993 he came across Saba Italia. New challenges and new incentives lead to the creation of the “nomad sofa”: Taos, Ananta, Limes, Nesting, Pixel. Creations that were born from reflection of new desires that encourage us to live in a less formal way, equipped with systems that enable change with simple gestures, by playing with shapes.Structure: In wood padded with polyurethane foam 30IP covered with velfodera on a polyester fiber coated backing 150gr/sqm. The back panels are in plywood padded with variable-density polyurethane foam (75IP – 25IM) and covered with velfodera 100gr/sqm.Feet: In transparent methacrylate with rectangular section or in metal with black nichel finish.Padding: The seat cushions are made with variable density polyurethane foam (40IP and 40 soft and flexible to slow return), covered fine velvet coupled with polyester fiber 280gr/sqm. The back and armrest cushions are in siliconised microfiber unraveled 100% polyester quilted into sections and covered with 100% white cotton fabric.
