The timeless Hudson chair is a spectacular update for the classic 1006 Navy chair. Designed for the Hudson Hotel in New York City. Was Emeco and Philippe Starck's first collaboration. Starck described the chair as "washing the details from the Navy chair". It was also Emeco's first new design in 50 years. The Hudson collection is a legendary example of Emeco's famous unique 77-step process, in which recycled aluminum is hand formed and welded by skilled American craftsmen, and then tempered for strength, three times stronger than steel and amazingly light weight. Features a smooth curved back rest with a unique concave curved seat shape and curved back legs to provide the ultimate in comfort. The Hudson stool's classic anodized finish makes it a durable modern stool, have a life expectancy of at least 150 years, stools that span generations and cultures.
