The Sunset Counter Stool is a celebration of the visual complexity of perforated sheet metal. A welded steel body supports a back arch of two sheets of perforated metal, housed in a curved frame. These two sheets of perforated metal are intentionally aligned to create a moiré effect, stimulating a kind of visual vibration as you look through at any angle. The steel is finished in a light mauve textured powder-coating, giving it tactile complexity while also being extremely durable. It is outdoor-safe in this finish.Micah Rosenblatt is a Brooklyn-based designer and metalworker. He specializes in sculptural furniture that pairs industrial forms with a whimsical edge.
