Contemporary Lambda Daybed, Brown Oak Frame, Woven In Natural Danish Papercord

This one-off Lambda daybed is handmade from sustainably-sourced brown oak in the East of England. Brown oak is an English oak that is infected with the Beefsteak Fungus, which releases a tannin-like acid that turns the oak a rich, chocolatey-brown colour. Both modern and traditional joinery techniques are employed, ensuring the best attention to detail and quality. The bed is woven in a natural 3-ply Danish papercord.Our iconic pi stool range draws its inspiration from the 20th century modernist idiom, Scandinavian modern design, Danish furniture, and Japanese aesthetics. Also influenced by the modern craft movement.The seats are woven by experienced craftspeople to the highest standard.The natural oil based finish gives a beautiful lustre that will last for many years without the use of a petrochemical, sprayed product.Our stools, benches and daybeds are suited to many uses, such as ottomans, side tables, night stands and foot stools.
