Daybed In Walnut With Splayed Legs

This daybed was inspired by the splayed bell tower structures of Japan. These structures utilize a simple principle that by putting the uprights of a structure at an inward angle, it increases the load capacity of those structures considerably. This daybed is made utilizing solid walnut with slats in cherry but can be customized to suit using a variety of woods and finishes to suit your project. This daybed is sized at 77 x 32 but can be made nearly any size to fit the off-the-shelf or custom mattress or cushion of your needs. I've aimed for a seating height of around 16-18" depending on the cushion size.Seating height is listed with 8" thick mattress.Please note that this platform ships fully assembled.
