FABULOUS! The American architect George Nelson (1908 - 1986) is one of the most important designers of the 20th century. At the age of 16 he completed his architectural studies at the Elite University Yale. Nelson was also the publisher of several publications and designirector at the Herman Miller company. His furniture is timeless and are still made today. George Nelson designed that daybed in 1949. Production Herman Miller. with its differently positionable pillows, the bed is a real transformation artist. This daybed has been lovingly restored and reupholstered in a gorgeous black velvet. The original steel springs are tight. The wood frame and feet are made of solid walnut.
