This Picasso ceramic plate "Tête de chèvre de profil' Ramié 110 is one in a small edition of only 60 and is glazed and painted, with the Empreinte Originale de Picasso and Madoura stamps. This extraordinary glazed plate is beautifully decorated with a raised design of a goat’s head in profile in green and black on a cream background. Picasso made the plate at the Madoura Pottery Workshop near the town of Vallauris in Southern France. George and Suzanne Ramie were the owners, and collaborated with Picasso to produce 633 pieces at their studio over a period of 24 years.
