A fine antique Chinese export porcelain warming dish and lid. In the Fitzhugh pattern. Decorated in underglaze blue. With a trellis-diaper and spear-head dumbell border to both the cover and tray. The center of the tray and cover decorated both with fronds, flowers, precious objects, and medallions in typical Fitzhugh fashion. The lid with an artichoke finial handle. Simply a wonderful rare, warming piece! Date: Early 19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is a firing flaw to one side of the artichoke finial, some very minor glaze flakes to the rim of the lid and rim of the base, some additional minor firing flaws throughout, several flakes to the foot rim, and a few popped glaze bubbles to the body here & there.
