Blue & White Cliveden Punch Bowl 15.5"

This magnificent large punch bowl was adapted from a Chinese high fire blue bowl, circa 1797, at Cliveden, a property of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, near Philadelphia. Mottahedeh's bowl is made of fine porcelain and the design is faithful to the original.Bowls of this type, in porcelain or silver, were considered essential to a household to entertain in a gracious manner. A favorite with brides, Mottahedeh specializes in luxurious patterns and unique, elegant shapes that are reproduced from china found in museums and historical societies.
