Inspired by the Italian Futurist Movement in the 30s, this plate features a motorist driving at full speed done in the futurist style, evoking the feeling of rapid movement. It was part of the 2014 "Italian Futurism, 1909-1944: Reconstructing the universe" exhibition at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York featuring unique one-of-a-kind Mazzotti creations. Every single piece is handled by master Tullio Mazzotti, a fourth generation Mazzotti ceramicist, and the decoration is hand painted using a special orange peel enamel, called MATT, found exclusively at Mazzotti 1903.
