VIETRI’s signature holiday collection is created from maestro artisan Alessandro Taddei’s childhood memories of stories his mother used to read to him about Babbo Natale, Italy’s Santa Claus. Alessandro relays his favorite scenes from those stories through his whimsical designs on the Old St. Nick Shallow Oval Bowl. Since 1983, Vietri has specialized exclusively in Italian handcrafted ceramics, stainless and pewter flatware, mouth blown glassware, lamps, urns and planters. Families of artisans with 3 or 4 generations of history create these special pieces using centuries-old techniques. The subtle color from a paintbrush and the curving stroke of the artist's hand are never repeated in quite the same way, making each piece truly unique.
