Presentation Dish With Twin Handles By Chamberlain's Worcester, 1820

Chairish

$1,634

A large presentation dish by Chamberlain’s Worcester, produced in the early 19th century from early Worcester hybrid-paste porcelain. The deep oval form is finished with a burgundy enamel ground to the rim, enriched with floral panels and extensive gilding. At the centre is a figural boating scene painted in soft enamel colours against a calm landscape. The strongly moulded and scalloped rim is richly gilded and fitted with openwork gilt scroll handles. The scale and decorative ambition align this piece with high-end Regency presentation wares. Measurements Length 40 cm; width 26 cm; height 10 cm Weight 1216 g Condition One chip to the rim, visually discreet from the front but more pronounced from the reverse. Central painted scene and floral panels are in excellent condition. One small scratch to the burgundy enamel. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
