Solid Mango Wood Bowl With Burnt Finish

A hand-crafted mango wood bowl. The bowl was cut from a much larger slab of mango wood and features a ribbed texture on its sides. To achieve the rich black colour the bowl was burnt three times and finished with a clear coat. The rim was then sanded down to expose a wonderful natural wood texture and contrast. This bowl is a wonderfully sculptural object.
