The Black Big Bowl is the dark variation of Tellurico’s acclaimed Telluride Stracciatella series. Crafted in Volcanic Porcelain infused with black pigment, the piece embodies years of research into material transformation and experimental ceramic processes. This proprietary porcelain, developed by Tellurico, merges high-resistance ceramic with lava stones gathered from the volcanic landscape of the Phlegrean Fields in southern Italy.During firing, the lava melts and erupts through the porcelain body, creating organic, unpredictable textures. The fusion of these materials not only strengthens the structure but gives each piece its own geological identity. No two are alike, each object is a singular artefact shaped by fire, time, and matter.The Telluride project has been exhibited internationally, including at the ADI Design Museum in Milan and the Hong Kong Design Institute, affirming its relevance within the field of contemporary collectible design. More than a functional piece, this is a sculptural centrepiece, a material memory forged in volcanic porcelain.
